Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise

The Enterprise edition of the Microsoft operating system has been tailored by the software company from Seattle to meet the needs of businesses. Accordingly, the Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise download includes all features of the basic version of Windows 8 as well as the improvements of the Windows 8.1 update, along with various additional features that are missing in the end-user versions of the operating system. Additionally, the operating system is characterized by a revised interface that supports the user in efficiently utilizing the system. A major advantage of the Enterprise edition of Windows 8.1 is its cross-platform compatibility on desktop computers, notebooks, tablets, and smartphones. With optimized work support on touchscreen devices, professional work is thus comfortably possible even on smart devices.

More security for corporate networks

Especially in a professional environment, IT security is of utmost importance. With Windows 8.1 Enterprise, companies receive the key to maximize the security of corporate networks without overly restricting employee freedoms. Part of this security concept includes special user authentication procedures via virtual smart cards as well as the ability to use fingerprint sensors for user authentication through the Windows Biometric Framework (WBF). Furthermore, system administrators have the ability to centrally block access and execution of programs, scripts, clients, and installation programs via AppLocker and assign individual access rights. Additionally, the DirectAccess feature allows users to access corporate resources without the need for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection.

Drive encryption and Windows To Go

Like the Enterprise variant of its predecessors Windows 7 and 8, the professional application-oriented version 8.1 also comes with BitLocker technology. The optimized drive encryption for the current version allows users to encrypt both the system drive and any hard drives and removable media. This improved BitLocker is a significant advantage for companies that want to keep their sensitive data secure. Another feature that speaks for the Windows 8.1 Enterprise download is the practical Windows To Go function. With this feature, a fully functional Enterprise operating system along with company applications and protected corporate data can be transferred to a bootable USB stick in no time. Ideal for being able to work unrestrictedly in a secure environment while on business trips.

Windows 8.1 Enterprise buyn

In addition to all the innovations and special features, the corporate version also offers the comfort of the end-user versions. Thus, the Start button returns in the Enterprise edition, making navigation significantly easier. The optional switch between the Metro interface with its characteristic tile look and the standard desktop also ensures significantly improved operation on various end devices. Windows 8.1 Enterprise is therefore worthwhile for all professional users looking for an operating system with a modern user interface, intuitive usability, and high security standards.
